Very tight and steep staircase, so not for the fainthearted, but the views from the top of the tower were amazing

A great way to get an overall view of Oxford from above. Helpful staff and good exhibit on the way up.

The tower tickets are too expensive for the offered experience... Nor worthing the money!
The views are nice, but the experience is too expensive, in my opinion.

This is a nice towers and structure with a clock tower and working bells and a clock. It’s located at the corner of High Street and Queens Street.

A good way of getting an aerial view of Oxford & the colleges & at £3.00 a head it doesn't break the bank. The trip to the top involves spiral staircases. Cast iron & stone steps. It is quite narrow in places, so please keep this in mind. There is a half way point where you can rest & read the information with regard the history.

£3 pp to climb the 99 steps to see the dreaming spires. Well worth it. A must do on your tour of Oxford. The Red Bus stops right outside. And you can pay in cash not card payment only as Oxford seems so keen on.

You get a great view of the Oxford rooftops as described in the Dark Materials trilogy! Full 360 degree vision of the dreaming spires. It's a long way down and the stairs are not for the nervous.

Not a huge amount to see inside the tower itself, but well worth the long climb up the stairs for the view over the city at the end.
The lady at the desk inside (Linda) was really friendly and welcoming. We only went in to ask whether the sightseeing bus was running; by the time we left she had sold us not only bus tickets, but also tickets for the tower itself and a walking tour! And all three were every bit as worthwhile as she said they were.

Great views, even on a rainy day and only £3 PP.
There's a lot of information inside the tower on the history and the staff are well informed.
Opened from 10am, we got there as it opened and went straight up.
Beware the steps are very steep and small in places.

Worth the climb for the amazing view at the top. Didn't take advance booking, but we were able to get in right when it opened and the 20 minute slot was plenty of time. One of the spiral staircases was very open and definitely a little scary if you don't like heights, but otherwise the climb was not difficult.

Hi, Brian. What would you like to know about this attraction? Can you turn up and pay on door/in shop without a booking, if not where can tickets be obtained? Is there much of a wait to enter on a Sunday?

Hi Brian, you can just turn up and and get a ticket right there. Entrance is left to the red telephone booth, under the watch. I went there around 5pm on a Sunday and was the only one there. But they said they'd be closing soon so maybe check opening times before you go. Enjoy!

Hi, I am doing a project for school on Oxford and I was wondering if anyone knew when Carfax was built?
