It's worth the walk up -- the view is magnificent. Lots of history. Be advised, the stair well is VERY narrow -- I had to keep my shoulder bag held in front of me -- I'm not very wide, but the bag added just enough...More

On a clear day the view from the top is worth the climb. Parts of the stairs are quite narrow but there are resting points to cross.

For the energetic and more mobile this is a must in Oxford. Climb the tower on a tight winding staircase for the reward of wonderful roof top views across the "City of Dreaming Spires".

Tower is in a very central location and has a lovely clock with figures which I guess move on the hour-didn't actually see that as there just after the hour-sadly!!

Great view from the top. 99 stairs up a spiral staircase. Nominal charge of 2.7 pounds per person. Well worth it.

This very old tower (9th century??) is seriously worth climbing for the amazing views from the top. Tip: be relatively fit (or at least not very unfit) before attempting the climb! One my my favourite places to take visitors.

Hi, I am doing a project for school on Oxford and I was wondering if anyone knew when Carfax was built?
