Christ Church is a fantastic building. My husband and I made a visit here during our short break in Oxford. There is so much to take visit in Oxford a short break is not enough. We will be returning to ensure we get to see all of the wonderful history and buildings in this lovely city.

This is a college with interesting history and heritage, and is open for visitors - just make sure to check their hours in their web site. The dining room is the most beautiful one, and so it the entrance to it' so go in only when it is open.

I had been telling our friends about our prior participation in The Oxford Experience and they enthusiastically joined us for a week long summer course entitled "The Age of Churchill" taught by Michael Redley, a Reader at Oxford. The accommodations were in an old dormitory adjacent to the "The Hall" which was opened in the 1520, and for 250 years... More

I visited the hall and the cathedral, both very pretty. I asked one of the stewards in the cathedral for some explanations and practically got a private tour. A must see sight for Harry Potter fans although there's much more to see.

We visited Christ Church, walked through this gorgeous College, the dining room is beautiful, resembling that of the movie Harry Potter.

We decided to go for a family ticket, not overpriced for these days. A long queue but patience is still a virtue. Inside, we spent a pleasant 40 minutes walking around the dining hall and chapel admiring their well annotated displays. A lovely atmosphere, one which provided a environment of calm and peace in a busy city. We also met... More

A good look into the seat of learning, obviously not allowed into the main part of the university, but it gave a good overview.

Christ Church is a beautiful college. Lovely church & cloisters. The great hall & stairs were used as the basis for the dining hall in the Harry Potter films. (It was recreated exactly on a set for the movies) Note portraits of William Penn & many other famous alumni. The dining hall is the " cafeteria " for the students,... More
