We booked a lunchtime tour. Please be aware that there is no access to college dining halls between 12-2. Despite this the tour was interesting and informative. The guide Jeff was very experienced and knowledgable. The talk is very college/university based but does feature the history of Oxford as a city. No mention of Insp Morse or Harry Potter so... More

It is a two-hour walking tour, covering some of the Oxford colleges; starting from the Trinity College Gate and often ending up in front of Oxford Martin School. Usual places covered include; New College, Sheldonian Theatre, Radcliffe Observatory and the Bodleian Library. One gets a good flavor of both, Oxford's bloodied and pompous past. From the stories behind grotesques and... More

I took the walking tour with Jeff from the Oxford walking tour and it was fantastic. Jeff was very knowledgeable and knew almost everything about oxford, the colleges, history. He was also very funny, so we never had a boring moment and didn't even notice that the tour exceeded the initial time limit. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly... More

The tour took in the main sights of Oxford and some fascinating colleges and chapels behind high walls that we would not have seen on our own. Our guide Jeff had a thorough knowledge of every where we went and his explanations and anecdotes brought it all to life. I would highly recommend this tour to tourists and residents of... More

Lasted around an hour, a number of the colleges were closed and I didn't think that it delivered on value for money. Try a free museum instead.....Pitt Rivers was good!

The tour with Stuart was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about Oxford's history and helped bring alive what we were seeing. His choice of colleges was terrific; New College's chapel was particularly beautiful. The pacing of the tour was excellent -- he included major buildings like the Bodleian Library along with some colleges but didn't rush things. All in all,... More

Impossible to rate the tour more highly. Our guide was Ian Mitchell who showed us sights we would never have seen on our own. Ian was extremely knowledgeable and told us many interesting stories along the way. My advice to anyone visiting Oxford is simple. Book on a tour - it will be the best spend of the day. Our... More

Not really satisfactory. Most colleges were closed (not mentioned before selling tickets), as a result we spent a much longer than was needed in Balliol (almost 40 mins and clearly dragging our feet), we then wandered slowly up Broad St (where you start) to almost entirely look at the outside of buildings. Not enough passion or interest. Free tours seemed... More

Just been on 4pm tour with Edward. Very informative, friendly and good humoured. Highly recommended. I was on business in the area and at 90 mins it was great just to fit in to at least say I'd seen something other than 4 walls of an office.

I would ordinarily think that giving a tour repeatedly would take the edge off a guide's enthusiasm. Of course good actors perform repeatedly and stay sharp. Jeff was on point. The tour was informative and enjoyable.
