Our visit here was on an awful rainy day, but once inside it was a real joy. The staff were very knowledgeable about the history of Lord Nuffield and the house. Always keen to pass on their stories and a real insight into the man...More

Homely for the house of a millionaire. Lots of quirky period touches. Everybody friendly and helpful. Lovely Autumn colours. The cafe has a restricted range but ok. Took my parents who had a real trip down memory lane.

Arrived just before opening and were first in the house. The best room guides ever - so knowledgeable about Lord and Lady Nuffield and the house. A talk was given under the sundial at11.30 by one of the volunteers called Theresa. Absolutely first class.

A relatively modest (for a millionaire) residence built in the Arts and Crafts style, and surrounded by gardens. It has not been restored so it is still as it was in Lord Nuffield's day. The tool cupboard in his bedroom is fascinating. Negative points -...More
