Couples visit to see stand-up, Friday evening time. Well organised venue, clearly sign posted entrances and multiple staff on hand. Bar expensive, as expected, but service quick and competent. Clearly advertised selection of drinks. Great view from the stalls, and great atmosphere throughout. Will be returning.

Never been here before what a lovely little theatre and Al Murray was brilliant. Easy to find parking and theatre validates your ticket so only half price, great idea.

This is a great venue for entertainment, we saw a couple of gigs there last weekend. Very comfortable seating with plenty of room. The place is well situated and easily accessible from the City centre. The place is clean with adequate seating and a cafe/bar is available. All the staff were helpful. One minor complaint is the lack of toileting facilities,... More

I like the Playhouse comfy seats, good all round view of the stage and in you can hear what the actors are saying. We went to Touched. Yeh it was OK. Well acted but the play itself was nothing to write home about. We thought it would make a good amdram play as there are some good strong women parts.

First of all, may I say how fantastic the pantomime was. It was a truly great performance. However, the experience was overshadowed by what the theatre had the audacity to call coffee. I really don't know whether any actual coffee was in the drink I had, even though it was coffee coloured. I can only assume they had got the... More

I went to see 'Aladdin' at the Nottingham Playhouse just before Christmas. I think it was the 9th year in a row that I've attended a pantomime at this venue. A panto at the Playhouse is one of the jewels in Nottingham's crown. It's always funny, professional on every level (music, sets, etc.) and one of the highlights of the... More

Rich Hall was excellent. However, the Playhouse deprived him of a perfect venue. The place seemed shabby and the drinks were definitely watered down in my opinion, either that or there was so much ice that there wasn't room for the drink! It would appear the interval drinks are now under the same management as Cast, rather poor! I hope... More
