There's almost always something happening in the Market Square whether it's stalls dedicated to some theme, or the beach in the summer or the lovely Christmas market in the winter. Be warned though, whatever is happening there will NOT be cheap! The rides and attractions...More

Visiting the old market square seaside that is on way too expensive cheaper to drive down to Skegness and visit the seaside for real and get the proper experience

Very much a focal point for the city and always lots going on in and around. Good mix of shops, cafes, restaurants etc and major stopping point for the tram. We went late evening and great to see the area all lit up.

Go to Nottingham regularly when I'm in the country. Always a great place to wander around. Lots of alleyways and hidden areas to find and explore. In the middle of this is what I have always known it has, Slab Square. I can remember the...More

A wide open space in the city centre. Space to breathe and take in the beauty of the surrounding architecture and the bustle of a vibrant community. An ideal place for large events, but at other times a busy hub. A great place to start...More

Right in the city centre. Fountains, Lion statues and memoires of my childhood. Relax here after a busy day shopping. Lovely during summer

No market and not muchsign of an old square. The whole place has been subsumed by building works and the feel is of modernity with no sense of the history we expected. Worst part of our day in Nottingham
