We are a small independent amateur theatre, located in the heart of Nottingham's historic Lace Market area. The Theatre is owned an operated by The Lace Market Theatre Trust Ltd., which is a registered charity. We have an enviable reputation for staging first class drama, offering productions that are rarely seen outside of London. The theatre is also available for private hire for functions and conferences, our prices are also very competitive.

Have been here a couple of times. The theatre is small and therefore quite intimate. The first performance we saw here, a couple of years ago, was very good with some excellent acting and well worth the money. However, the second play, Comfort and Joy written by Mike Harding, seen last night, was very disappointing mainly because of some dire... More

I have been meaning to write a review about this wonderful little theatre for some time. It's fantastic to see that although they are considered as an amateur theatre, what they have on offer is professional in every way. From the moment I stepped into the theatre to the lovely man and woman on front of house, to the actors... More

I went to see Cause Celebre at the lace market theatre on Monday and throughly enjoyed the performance. Great cast - another enjoyable evening at this lovely little theatre.

This is a delightful little theatre and their productions are amazing. It is certainly worth becoming a friend of this theatre and get all the information about forthcoming plays. It has a really nice atmosphere and the upstairs bar area is a bonus for pre performance drinks. A little gem in the middle of the Lace Market.

Went to see a friend in the play Julius Caesar. I had never been to the theatre and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The staff are lovely, the intimacy of the theatre is great and the area upstairs is just perfect for the interval. I can't wait to go back.

Recently went here for their alternative to Christmas play - Noel Coward. It's a small theatre - can't seat many more than 100 people but with comfy seats and good views. As it is run by volunteers, there is a cheerful atmosphere with an upstairs bar and coffee area with a local artist showing her pictures. Good prices compared to... More

This little theatre which is mainly run by amateurs is a must for all. But as a person who is hard of hearing seats in all parts of the house afford good sound. The acting is very often of the highest quality and the prices are very reasonable.

Despite living in Nottingham many years I have never been here. We went for a matinee performance. Charming cosy atmosphere. Really enjoyed the performance and excellent value.
