Lovely extended views of Hadrian's wall. Take some decent walking shoes, but this place is fabulous. Get the dual ticket for vindolande and the Roman museum.

If you are only going to wall one section of the wall, this is the definitely the bit to do. Stunning scenery, even on a wet day. Must have been a hard life for the soldiers up here in winter!
