To be honest we've been to more attractive house and gardens but I guess a lot of people visit Althorp because Diana is buried there. We arrived at 12.15 on a Sunday in August and were amazed how few people were there. This certainly helped...More

Checked today. Website says gates open and 12 and close at 5. So we got there at 3.45 to find the house closed at 3.30. BEWARE
