Arrived here from Malton. Amazed by the whole structure with the interlacing steel/iron. The facilities were clean and useable.

We arrived in York having taken the train from Manchester after flying from NYC. Such a nice introduction to the city! Using the airless, overcrowded, smelly Penn Station in NY all our lives, to step off the train here in York was a pleasure. Large...More

It's a really lovely station as far as they go. It's architecture is nice, it's clean and the staff are friendly. But it isn't worth a special trip in my opinion.

York Railway Station is a beautiful, efficiently run, well-staffed, very tidy transit hub. There are places to eat and to sit, a good place to watch the world go by, at least until your train arrives.
