With a £10 entry fee I left the building. I refuse to pay to enter a church no mater what religion it is. There is wheelchair access. if you attend a service there is no charge.

The Rose Window can be found in the south transept of York Minster and as such a small part of a beautiful historic building. Well worth a visit if you're happy with the paid admission which is £10 per person to enter and £5 to climb the stairs to the roof.

Although very interesting the window needs to be seen in conjunction with the rest of the building. It was badly damaged in the fire during the last century but is now back to its former glory. Looks much better from the inside during the day or from outside at night.

This magnificent window was badly damaged in the great fire in York Minster; I remember the night well. It has since been restored to its former glory and well deserves a lengthy inspection both inside and out, particularly from the dark outside when the Minster lights shine out. It needs to be viewed in conjunction with the rest of the... More

A Part of the York Minster Experience Actually not sure why it needs its own review - it's beautiful. look in at it from the outside at night and look out during the day time to see different aspects of its beauty!!

A must see while visiting York but visit the minster as a whole and view the window from inside with the sunlight streaming in.The book about the fire is very interesting and the restoration that followed .

The whole of York Minster is a great place to visit and a definite must when in York, so this window is a part of the whole. Looks good from outside, and is worth some photos, but do the entire minster as well.

If you're visiting York you cant really avoid it, it's a prominent landmark, quite pretty if you are into old buildings. Apparently there's a lot of detail you cant really see from the ground.
