I love walking through these gardens and finding a seat just to sit and take in the view and watch the world go by.

It was a beautiful day when we visited with ice cream carts available and hot/cold drinks from a portable shop. there is an old ruin church in the grounds and the Yorkshire Museum within the ground which is well worth a visit.

A lovely garden with plenty of plants and flowers to see. In a central location in the city of York.

You may find it difficult to visit indoor attractions on a sunny day... The gardens are beautifully kept, centrally located (a short walk from York Minster) and an irresistible stop between attractions. Check for special events such as the Eboracum.

Nice space next to the river, ground housing the Yorkshire museum also, can be crowded on peak holiday season as the weather improves

Lovely place to unwind on a warm day and many people were taking advantage of the weather. The ruins in teh park made a pleasant backdrop.
