This Christmas attraction was marketed quite well and sold as a magical experience. I’ve never been so disappointed. Most other city’s have events like this free and you would expect for £15 that it would be a showstopper! This attraction is a complete rip off...More

At £40 for two adults and a child we’ve started on a pretty hefty price tag, firstly the entrance is very poorly signed and I heard many people walking up to it making the same comments so clearly there’s an issue there. Once in it’s...More

I was looking forward to walking around the gardens and thought this had the potential to be a really great event, but it fell short. The lights were tacky and the art installations were poor. I don’t mind paying £5 for a mulled wine or...More

The best light show we have ever been to. A delightful time with many things to stop and enjoy. A beautiful location.

A nice enough way to spend 45/60 minutes, but certainly not worth the £14.95 entry fee. This should be a fiver at most. Nice light installations, and decent displays, but that's about it. I wouldn't go again, nor would I recommend.

Visited here with friends for a Christmas outing with our little ones (nearly 2, 5 and 2 3 year olds) Not as breath taking as the roundhay park ones but totally different themed (roundhay is a Chinese lantern festival and the installations are stunning-huge dragons...More

After reading the negative reviews which seem to be about the ridiculous price to enter the Christmas light displays, we changed our minds about visiting after 4.30 which was when the admission prices came into effect. Instead we walked around the gardens display earlier in...More

We booked in advance and although we did enjoy the very high quality lights and the walk through the gardens, it was not value for money! Extremely expensive there were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children) so an expensive hours walk. Having bought...More

In the museum there is a lift to all floors and disabled toilets in the basement. There is a ramp leading to the entrance and there are ramps all around the gardens plus lots of benches to sit on and watch the world go by... More

From Bootham turn into Marygate and turn right just before the Bay Horse into the car park. After leaving your car return to Marygate and the entrance to the gardens is adjacent to St Olave's Church. There are no toilets... More
