Situated on the Cliffside overlooking Whitby Bay this unique venue offers a range of different spaces, catering for a host of events.The Pavilion Theatre boasts an atmospheric Victorian interior, combined with the modern dance and concert hall, to play host to a number of arts and leisure activities. Stage shows, dances, major festivals/concerts, fund-raising and children's events, exhibitions and conferences, not to mention a whole range of private functions, meetings and community events.Catering facilities are available for every event from pre-theatre drinks to daytime refreshments and gala dinners. The glass atrium, which houses the permanent café area, has stunning panoramic sea views from Sandsend Nab through Due North to Whitby's east and west piers.

Spacious venue with a great light/sound/stage setup, decent bar prices (especially during Happy Hour) and some very tasty snacks available from the café too. Have been coming back for fifteen years now- here's to the next fifteen!

We went to see Showaddywaddy at the Pavillion, Brassed Off was on at the same time & there was just not enough staff on duty. The house lights were not turned off until halfway through the set & this showed no respect to the artists....More
