In the top category of pubs. Excellent well kept beers of which as mostly from Wolf Brewery in brilliant condition. Well deserving of all the accolades they have received. Only had a flying visit but will return ASAP.
Highly recommend

I always pop in to this great friendly pub when I'm in Norwich, a fantastic range of beer and the best homemade pies I've ever tasted.

What a fab pub!

Love the fact that you can order a local takeaway and use the pub cutlery! Brilliant idea! The range of beers is amazing, the staff are fun and friendly and the pub itself has a lovely atmosphere, there were people playing cards and couples and families all enjoying themselves and the garden is a lovely space. Really enjoyed our 3 visits during our stay in Norwich.
Cheers!!

Sunday afternoon in the garden
Jun 2019 • Friends
Had the pleasure of visiting the Duke of Wellington last Sunday afternoon.
What a fantastic atmosphere and such a lovely afternoon. Staff were very good and beer was great as always. Can’t wait to visit again. Well done to the staff and management, not forgetting all the other customers who made the afternoon even better. Enjoyed the BBQ food, it’s available every weekend during the summer.

Lovely atmosphere and (most of) staff friendly

Lovely pub with great selection of beers. It’s great to be able to bring in Indian takeaway from across the road and be offered plates and cutlery. Most of the staff welcoming except one of the ladies (petite with short brown hair) very cold and unwelcoming.

Great pub!!

Have visited this pub a plenty times and the staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is lovely. Recently joined some friends for a catch there and had such a laugh. The pub garden is perfect, plenty of seats and an outside jukebox. You can bring in a takeaway and they supply the plates and condiments. All in all a fabulous night!

Cracking Pub
Oct 2017 • Friends
In Norwich for the October Beer Festival (my 36th) and after visiting the Festival on the Friday evening we headed out and about around town looking for pubs we have not visited before. Last year saw us up and around the Golden Triangle. This year saw us heading out along the city of ale Magdalen trail and heading back into town via the Mousehold trail.

The Duke of Wellington was our first new to us pub and what a pub. Somehow the place has a great feel, the locals were friendly and the beer excellent. Would have happily stayed here and drank the afternoon away but other pubs on a chosen route march were calling.

In my opinion this pub is definitely worth visiting again and will be on my list of pubs to call in again next time I am in Norwich.

A lovely pub
Jun 2017 • Couples
A warm and welcoming little pub. Staff are very attentive. A great selection of real Ales and is my husband's best pub in Norwich. They have now started doing the BBQ which is great value for money and there is a lovely courtyard at the back to enjoy your food and drink. You are also allowed to order food in from the local take away and they supply plates and cutlery for you. Not many pubs that will do this for you. Highly recommended.
