229 The Venue, is a really nice place to attend a concert, although we all had to use a door that wasn't sign posted when we got into the venue it was set out very well and the prices at the bar were not extortionate....More

My experience of this venue was a thoroughly unpleasant one. The security staff were over zealous. My family, including a grand mother of 80yrs decided it best to go elsewhere. To be sure, I will never visit this venue again.

First visit to “The Venue” to see the Chameleons 35 year anniversary tour of the release of their first album “Script of the Bridge” in-fact my friend and I, both relatively seasoned gig goers, had never even heard of the place. Great accessible location being...More

Went to see Chic le Freak and Sounds of Sister Sledge at venue 229 tonight. The venue is a stones throw away from Great Portland station and some pubs/eateries, so not a bad location. The venue has two spaces and our space probably could hold...More

Saw the HAGGIS HORNS Sat 13th Jan who were great - good support acts too! Unfortunately bar service wasn't so great. Also wondering about the safety issues of wires hanging from the ceiling above the mixing desk & DJ tables!

This place is in the heart of London. It gives a good sized hall for concerts where you can really feel being close to the artists. We enjoyed being able to move easily around (this is a standing place, no seat) to go to the...More
