Security didn't let us in even though we had friends waiting for us inside with the excuse of white shoes, even though they let girls and other people with white shoes in.

Attended The Rezillos gig here on the 15/09/18. Nice venue and a great view of the stage, as its high up. Seems fairly new. Would definitely go to another gig here.

229 The Venue, is a really nice place to attend a concert, although we all had to use a door that wasn't sign posted when we got into the venue it was set out very well and the prices at the bar were not extortionate....More

My experience of this venue was a thoroughly unpleasant one. The security staff were over zealous. My family, including a grand mother of 80yrs decided it best to go elsewhere. To be sure, I will never visit this venue again.

Went to see Chic le Freak and Sounds of Sister Sledge at venue 229 tonight. The venue is a stones throw away from Great Portland station and some pubs/eateries, so not a bad location. The venue has two spaces and our space probably could hold...More

Saw the HAGGIS HORNS Sat 13th Jan who were great - good support acts too! Unfortunately bar service wasn't so great. Also wondering about the safety issues of wires hanging from the ceiling above the mixing desk & DJ tables!
