Well it's a train station so it has trains, but there are plenty of shops and places to eat to pass the time. There is a pub on site and a Harry Potter photo opportunity. Look out for the hawk which flies around regularly to help keep pigeons at bay.

1. Give yourself an hour to wait for a train. 2. Buy a coffee and a cheesecake from Patisserie Valerie (established 1926). 3. Sit on the balcony and imagine where these thousands of people have been or are going. 4. Try to predict the precise moment when the information board will change and the "crick-necked" commuters will swarm to the... More

If accompanied by a child arrive early and queue up to take a photograph at Platform 9 and 3/4 at King's Cross Station, Good sitting area outside to picnic if waiting for a train. St Pancras Station is a short walk away - literally over the road.

Lots of mini restaurant and coffee places. Friendly staff and always willing to help. Clean toilets that are not hard to find at all.

Busy station with plenty if facilities. Just love the unexpected harry potter theme. The fake platform sign, the photo set ups which you can do for free with your own cameras. Big harry potter shop too. Station staff were very helpful too.

Light spacious area very clean, great design. Big destination boards for all to see where ever you are. Good amount of shops even a Waitrose for those last minute going home products. Harry Potter 9 3/4 queue is always busy but why not.

Freezing Cold, stale, unfriendly. Used to commute to KX for 12 ish years - not been down to london since Dec 2007 - amazed (& horrified) by the changes - however life moves on. Day trip to Surrey for a family occasion via KX - all train services worked well however we were agast at how KX had changed! We... More
