Little oasis in Islington
Aug 2019 • Friends
Just around the corner from Sadlers Wells this welcoming little traditional pub with a cute 'secret garden' provided the ideal pitstop on a boiling hot day.

Nice little pub for after work drinks
Oct 2016 • Friends
I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to head to the Harlequin (well, it is closed at the weekend) but it's certainly a nice cosy place for after work drinks with its roaring fire. A small selection of ales and even smaller food selection (cheese or nothing), but pleasant.
Very small so avoid large groups!

Pleasant local pub
Apr 2016 • Friends
We met the place with colleagues and they can sit many people in their terrace place (not suitable when it rains). Huge variety of beers from tap and friendly staff.
Terrace closes at 10.

Nice little freehold pub
Nov 2015
Nice little pub with decently kept beer, friendly staff and a decent cheese board if you're peckish. Welcoming of groups or those in search of solitude, highly recommended.

Great old style pub of a type that is sadly going out of fashion
Sep 2015 • Couples
Just behind Sadler's Wells, and an excellent place for a drink pre and post performance. A great small local pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Well kept beer. Very limited food but the cheese board is good. What a lot of pubs used to be like before the overwhelming desire to offer too much food took over.

A proper local pub with nice vibe
Aug 2015 • Friends
The Harlequin is a small and quaint local pub that is off the main drag. It's cozy and comfortable with really nice service. A nice little patio in the back for outdoor pints.

If you want a proper London pub experience, or need a place to grab a pint before visiting Sadler's wells, the Harlequin is the spot. Head over to Exmouth market for dinner after for a great night out.

Great pub off the beaten path in Angel
Jul 2015 • Couples
My wife and I live in Angel, and love going to this pub. It is off the beaten path on Arlington Way near Sadler's Wells Theatre. Small pub with a little outdoor space in the back. Never overcrowded, and nice bar staff. Just a chill place to grab a pint.
