Hands down the best pub in the area. Great staff, unbeatable atmosphere, tucked away in a quiet corner of Deptford. This pub has live folk music every week, hosts local festivals and has new beer in all the time. A historic pub, a Deptford landmark...More

Came across this lovely friendly little pub on a day out walking near the Thames. What a super find. Real ales, extensive bottled beer menu too. Cosy bar, friendly welcome. Just what we needed to break the journey up a bit.

If you want a quiet, unpretentious, old fashioned pub selling good home cooked food and well looked after real ales (many awards in evidence on the walls) then look no further. This place is an utter treasure.

I had heard last month that this esteemed institution was to close! On returning from Morocco and India I passed by and saw it was far from closed! I had seen tweets and instagram pics recently implying that....a new younger management? I confirmed this as...More

Stumbled across this beautiful old pub while walking the Jubilee path. Great little bolt hole in a quiet patch of Depford. Pop in it's nice to just chill n chat .
