An institution. The service can be brusque but the coffee is a taste of Italy. The snacks and cakes are also superb. Unless you're sitting outside on a table, expect to be jostled by a stream of late night revellers and waiters while you stand at the bar. Look up for the John Logie Baird blue plaque where television was... More

Been a few times now, the staff have been great. The Disaronno Sours are amazing and the staff were really friendly. Can't wait to go again.

This bar is a great stop off for pre/post-dinner drinks, or at anytime for that matter! Staff are really friendly, make an excellent Aperol Spritz, and have some great Italian coffee, cakes, and sandwiches available. The outside seating is a great place to relax and take in the people watching and hustle and bustle of Soho.

We love Bar Italia for its 24hour chic and retro style. Famous for late night expresso and morning cappuccino. The best of Soho and a must for every visitor to experience this historic cafe bar.

Where better to watch European Championship football , drink Italian beer and eat authentic Pizza than Cafe Italia? We stopped for a quick break and had the most brilliant , fresh tasting pizza I've had in a long while . Snappy service and a buzzy vibe - worth a visit .

I am Italian and I have been leaving in London for 18 years. My 9 years old son is a fan of the Italian team so I took him to Bar Italia to watch a match for the Euro 2016 because I wanted him to experience watching the match with other Italian fans. A big guy on the entrance told... More

That's going to be my favorite place in London, I came here plenty of times to drink a coffee or simply to watch a football match in their wide screen. Positioned into the heart of Soho district, it's like an Italian meeting point. I highly recommend this place. Small inside but funny.

Being one of the earliest coffee shops on the scene, this small cafe does not disappoint when it comes to genuine Italian food and drink. Would definitely recommend!

Went to this authentic retro (established 1949) italian coffee bar. Perch stools at the front and two small tables rear. Worth visiting. There is a Cafe Nero opposite but not one of these. Amazing retro Italian decor. Recommended.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
