“Village Bar, Soho is a staple part of the gay scene here.”
The Village has become a firm fixture on Soho's gay scene since opening in 1991. The Village was the first of its kind to be opened in London and since then there have been dozens of bars who have copied its successful formula. The Village really...more
I wouldn't normally write such a negative review, but after reading all the comments about this bar, I am glad I am not alone in my view on the venue, bouncers and staff that work at Village Soho, AWFUL! We came here after a Christmas...More
Arrived here with two friends - one of whom is Asian. My Asian friend was told “you’re not getting in here tonight” upon arrival. When my other (white) friend asked why he was being denied entry no reason was given, just that he was not...More
Went in there to get drinks and really nice atmosphere and cute staff , but when other people from our group attempted to enter they were barred by the bouncer who claimed it was a "private party" (despite me and my friends being in there...More
I am regularly visiting this bar, but lately the bartender in the back area looks like he doesn’t care of nothing at all.

This is a very small, yet bustling bar in soho. I had been here many years ago and didn’t remember a lot of the decor, but since being with my partner we have been here a few times, mostly because it’s easy to find, friendly,...More
Yesterday I also run into the aggressive doorman at the front entrance. Rude, shouting. No sense of guest orientation. He refused me to get back into and blockede also for the other entrance.
This is not the way to treat guests. Look for alternatives.
Myself and a friend attempted getting in for a drink Fri night.
Apparently it’s guest lists only now. Don’t just turn up you won’t get in.
Doormen rude and obnoxious.
Plenty of other lovely bars in Soho. Give this one a miss.
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the
most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
