Overview
More
The Village has become a firm fixture on Soho's gay scene since opening in 1991. The Village was the first of its kind to be opened in London and since then there have been dozens of bars who have copied its successful formula. The Village really does offer something for everyone 'all under one roof'. The upstairs 'Soho Bar' dance floor is where all the snap crackling pop, chart and commercial dance action happens, with residents Heidi Liscious & Robyn Banks, plus our gorgeous gogo boys on the bar! Descend into the basement club, where you'll find the best in chunky funky deep house & tech with the cream of London's dance scene DJ's, Paul Heron, Gordon John, Massimo Paramour, JJ Gullo & Gonzalo Rivas on rotation. Through to the 'Cafe bar' you'll find a more relaxed vibe with lots of seating & comfy booths. Further more, head upstairs to the new 'Cocktail Lounge' where you'll find another bar with luxurious booths, chandeliers and a stunning view of all the action right up Old Compton Street. We are now open from 3pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, and you are also very welcome to take your drinks al fresco onto Brewer Street where you can drink in the afternoon sun :) Pop in & say hi!

Whenever I am in London I always pop into the Village Bar. It is what it is - a bar. Nothing flash. Small bar at the main entrance. Slightly larger cocktail lounge at the back / side. Two for one cocktails were on offer so...More

This great little bar in central soho is always very popular. It also stays open beyond 11/12 unlike others round about. Bars are set out in a sort of ‘L’ shape with stairs to downstairs between the 2 bars. Quite narrow so always a flow...More

How poor. Catch a cab to the village and ask the guy to enter. Asked if we are on the guest list and when we are honest and say no he says 'You won't be getting in then' the club is half full. We have...More

I’ve been to the village a few times over the years. It’s a fun bar in soho with free entry so it stands to reason it’s always busy. The bouncers have always been somewhat aggressive in allowing entry for groups of people and god forbid...More

The snail -like pace of the service here was only exceeded by the rudeness of the staff. They work at whatever pace they choose and behave as they like: (1) they served 2 people before me, even though I was clearly first in the queue;...More

I'd phoned to get on the guest list as we'd tried to get in before and hadn't been able to. Greeted and shown to our table but we decided to perch on a ledge in the bar area near the go-go dancers. Really friendly bar...More

Had a quick drink here with my partner back in July 2017 when we were in London for a couple of nights. Probably wouldn’t rush back, drinks weren’t the greatest and although it was pretty quiet the atmosphere just didn’t seem quite right. Of course...More
