Absolutely beautiful but a little surreal! Stunning views, good restaurant. Thoroughly recommend the sharing platter and glass of wine for two for £25 at Caffi Glas. Can probably spend a good few hours here. If you liked "The Prisoner" you can join the tour each day and buy gifts at their shop. Hop on the train for a 10 minute... More

The pretty architectural folly that is Portmeirion Village is NOT in London; not even England, for that matter! It is in North Wales and is, indeed, well worth a visit. It was a sunny day and we visited the village with friends. It was busy with tourists but very pretty. The most memorable element for me was the walk around the bay seeing the river estuary and the views across to the nearby seaside villages and beach. This was truly beautiful

Portmeirion Village, ornate, architecture unique transports you to an idyllic setting that is part myth and the beauty of the place is that its on the Wales map.
