Looked forward to the National Shakespeare Company performance of Hamlet and we were more than pleased. The performance (with an almost entirely black cast) was superb... Paapa Essiedu as Hamlet was profound, exciting and new. The theater is ornately decorated; seating is very clean and...More

Wonderful Hamlet with great cast especially Paapa Essiedu. Fascinating old Edwardian setting and good bar. The only thing that lets this RSC production down is the acoustics. We were in the dress circle and despite knowing the play it was difficult to hear. Perhaps better...More

This was a very long play, over 3 hours. Only having seen the play once before many years ago I was a little apprehensive. However, the whole production was amazing with a new spin to it. The modernised version really worked and Hamlet was amazing....More

I attended "Hamlet" here last week and the performance was superb. This review is about the theatre rather than the performance. The theatre was well signposted which was helpful as I'd never been in this part of London before. After a quick security check at...More

We went to see "Hamlet" last Friday night. The actors were all brilliant, as is the venue. Plenty of nice places and proper pubs nearby, as well. The bar tacked onto the side of the theatre looked great, too, but we didn't go in there,...More

Quite old and tight in space. Atmosphere for an original pantomime was very good. Not so sure what about a normal play.
