I have now been to see two different shows at this intimateTheatre.Spending my birthday with a talking corpse didnt at first seem the best present my daughter ever bought me, but What Lays Beneath was outstanding. Any performance, wherever you sit because the venue is small, is powerful, and a very different experience from large West End shows. Always a... More

Visited to see The Lounge, a great play set in a care home. 97 years go by in a flash, an afternoon lasts an eternity. Its our future! The Soho Theatre Bar is good for pre show drinks and also a bite to eat.

We arrived early for the production so popped into the bar for a drink. The barman bravely made his first ever cocktail for me, and seemed over generous with the measures. Not to many seats in the bar, but everyone was prepared to share tables. There are a few performance spaces, and the studio was ideal for the three man... More

Watched Alan Carr here, they do occasionally get well known warm Up shows so keep an eye open as theatre is small but that means close to stage / close to the acts and good location

This is a favourite of mine as it an always be relied on to identify the best upcoming (and sometimes established) talent around. They have early evening hour long shows that are great for kick-starting an evening giving you the rest of the evening to have dinner, drink etc. 10/10.

much better than the nosebleed seats in the O2... enjoyed some textbook French lessons and a couple of glasses of Prosecco pre show. Well run bar and the free water on tap at the bar was a nice touch, Some bar snacks would be even better having come straight from work. Well done to all staff who took part in... More

This theater programs an excellent range of work with three unique spaces for stand-up, studio work, and a more traditional but modern headlong space. It occupies a relatively quiet road for such a busy and exciting area and the bar is a great place to hang out before/after seeing a show and get away from the central London crowds. The... More

Went with a group of girlies to watch Shazia Mirza's the Kardashian's made me do it. The link to the title is touched on towards the end of the show. Thoroughly enjoyed Shazia's show. Nice venue, has a bar staff you can visit this before or after the show. Would recommend venue and watching Shazia.

They have three rooms with a couple of acts each a night, so always loads going on. A nice bar downstairs and reasonably priced drinks for a venue in the centre of town.

Went to the Soho in february '17 to see Jerry Sadowitz. Very friendly staff here, and quirky bar which was very loud and very full. Wine was reasonably priced. The theatre space itself (upstairs) was just the usual studio style of theatre with a flat open stage. The seats were doubles, so you were expected to share a wide seat... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
