We booked a table for 9 of us on a Saturday lunchtime to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were all very happy with our food choices which ranged from sausage sandwiches and triple fried chips, fish and chips to more unusual fare such as monkfish...More

Hadn't visited The Lamb for at least 25 years when it used to be a regular London haunt along with The Sun (now The Perseverance) and The Moon (now gone). Thankfully little has changed - the snob screens and leather seating are still in place...More

We stopped for a late May 18 lunch after reading about this historic pub in a Dec 17 WSJ travel piece. Food was okay. Service just okay. Not much ambience at lunch time. Maybe dinner is the right time to visit?

Had lunch with friends in the sunny beer garden. The roasts were amazing, the beer was cold but the best part was the host. He couldn't do enough to make our lunch more enjoyable. I'd never been there before but will certainly go back. Thanks

I've eaten here a few times and it's usually disappointing but yesterday's lunch for two was a new low. I had the Leek and Potato soup: it was thin and watery (when it should be thick and creamy), it was sour with vinegar or lemon...More

My fish and chips were fine but should have been 10£ rather than 15£. My husband's salad had only half the ingredients listed in the menu and was half the size expected. It was worth about 7£ rather than 15£.

Young's pub with good choice of Bitter.Still has the glass Snob screens, which were once used to separate the gentry and the servants. Walls fall of old music hall pictures. Great warm staff.
