Best climbing gym around

Tons of bouldering, lead and top roped walls, auto-belay and outdoor boulders. The best gym in London and the best I've been to anywhere!

Having never been climbing before this was a great experience. We were booked in for a private family session and we spent our session with an instructor who went through the ways in which to climb and demount. He was extremely patient and made us feel at ease. He helped me to test me ability and push myself taking into... More

I heard about Castle Climbing Centre from a friend, and decided to book several classes while in town on vacation. What a great experience! The classes were excellent. I emailed the Centre to see what was offered, anf chose an autobelay class, a three hour movement class, and two clinics [overhangs and slopers]. The instructors were personable and top notch.... Haven't been to the centre yet, but staff from reception are so friendly and helpful! Spoke on the phone with a member and she immediately sorted me, presenting all the options and the formula that best suited me. Outstanding!

The Castle is a fantastic venue for indoor climbing. The sheer number of routes for both bouldering, top rope and lead climbing is astounding. There is always a new route to try out and it seems new areas are opening all the time. The staff are super friendly and knowledgable and always happy to help out. The Castle Garden is... More

Ok so your standard or ability doesn't matter this place has everything including any and all tuition and support. Whilst leaving you complete freedom if you prefer. This place has so much. In the fours hours we were there we nearly scratched the surface! I recommend the banana and peanut butter toasty.

This place is an amazing place to climb. Alone or with friends. From huge boulders areas to climbing walls with some overhang to selfbelaying devices to climb by yourself. I though I would see huge walls to climb on with this being a castle but the max was maybe 13 or so meters. However the bouldering in 8? Different rooms... More

Went today with a small group and had 2 hours with an instructor. Learnt the main skills and safety points and got straight to climbing. The staff are super friendly, the facilities are clean and there are 5 whole floors of climbing in a legit castle! There is also a cafe for refreshments. You can bring your own equipment or... More

One of the best climbing walls in London, within easy reach of the tube station, but usually with very limited parking. Once inside the Castle has so many levels and different areas you could literally spend all day in the centre. If you are a competent climber than you can register and then explore for the rest of the day.... More

A really great rainy day activity for kids and adults. The staff and instructors are friendly encourage kids to not be scared (and adults) to climb higher. Also one of the best birthday party places for ages 9+. V.well recommended, a must do.
