The Lodge at Crystal Palace.

Arrived with a local dive school to make use of the 5m deep diving pit. This is the 2nd time I have been and it has not improved. Finding the pool is not easy at night with poor signage and the narrowest of access points. There are rats both inside and outside the building and all I will say is... More

Although the building is a little rough around the edges, this is a good value place to stay, with a warm welcome, a lovely setting - and the best free continental breakfast I've had in any hostel! The room was basic, but had everything I needed, with a very powerful shower next door. Be aware: The wifi only really works... More

You really won't have experienced anything like The Lodge, unless you come from communist era Eastern Europe, or you have been in prison. It's a poorly maintained (think 1970s original blue bathrooms) quirky tower block - but situated maybe 100m from the sports centre. If budget is important, or access to the pool your number one priority, then this is... More

This place was refurbished for millions of pounds few years ago. And I am asking where is this money? Swimming pools look 50 years old. Customer service rude. People working there - not competent. Look at the picturess of boys chaning room. Horrible.

This will be a long review... If you want to be in the heart of London in amongst the action and throng of this vibrant city? A place of modern and up to date facilities, cleanliness and vibrant... Then do not even consider The Lodge for your stay in London. If you want a comfy homely type of place in... More

I am updating my review of Crystal Palace sports centre as a lot has changed in the last few years. I have trained worldwide during the last 35 years, have a military background and trained in boxing/mixed martial arts, as well as prepping for annual skiing trips. Crystal palace sports centre now seems to have it all as some major... More

I was a "Better" member there and the staff is quite apalling. They all behave like they hate their job, they are not helpful. When classes are cancelled they let you know, if they do, at the very last minute with no apology or explanation. The facilities are amazing, this place could be so much better if better managed! Their... More

We came here as Grandparents to watch someone in the British schools Biathlon. Just finding the way in proved to be a major challenge - the signposting into the park directing you towards the Sports Centre is non-existent. The next challenge was to find somewhere to park - facilities were hopeless for a "National Event". All of the facilities look... More

We came here for the British schools biathlon. The sports centre is quite tired and has definitely seen better times. However, there aren't many places where you have a 400m track right next door to a 50m pool. There is also plenty of seating for spectators to watch the events. The track is in good condition. The pool not so... More
