Cabbies in London are so polite, and very helpful. They are quite enthusiastic and proud of their City. Our Cabbie told us about this one, as a 'must do Pub' in Wapping... It is on the Wharf and can be viewed also on the Thames if you take the 'boat ride'. Big WOW factor, when you realize it was built... More

This place has a really fun history, plus the food is delicious! It's a huge pub. If you can't find seating, just keep looking. It goes on forever. Menus are at the table and you order at the bar. The steak and ale pie is yummy!

With nice wiew over the Thames, we took some delicious burgers and beers in a pub with a atmosphere. We sat upstairs with crooked floors so one had to make sure the glasses do not traveled from the table. Cheerful plaques on the walls told about some of the stories about the pub and area. An outdoor part was that... More

A delightful old character pub located beside the River Thames at Wapping Wall. I would recommend the 'Mad Goose' ale as it went down very well. We had Steak and Ale pies, served with gravy, mixed veg and mash (or chips) which were delicious. Our only criticism would be that as we were enjoying our meal a 'pub quiz' started... More

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, not difficult to find & a great location right on the river. Busy with good atmosphere, great range of beers but the food was very average, not bad just nothing to speak of & service a bit slow & surly mainly due to under staffing, worth a look though if only for location.

This pub is one of London's best kept secrets- visit on a sunny day to sit on the terrace and enjoy the river views. Visit in the winter to soak up the atmosphere in this ancient tavern. The surrounding area of Wapping Wall also has another couple of great riverside pubs that can be discovered with a short stroll.

We spent a day visiting the Tower of London for another long overdue visit and had a treat time. Followed advice to see the Crown Jewel collection first to see it all before the rush. We then decided on lunch (late of course) and visited the Prospect of Whitby. What a beautiful and atmospheric building and where it is situated... More
