The best lamb ever. Perfectly cooked, wonderful mashed potatos with great carrots and maybe turnips, Delicious gravy. TDF. Comes with a free beer. They want you to try the ales but you can opt for a couple great beers.

We have visited The Moon Under Water on about half a dozen occasions over the past few years; it is almost always our first 'port of call' once we get off the train! The location, on Leicester Square, means it is always pretty full (nothing to do with the fact it's a Wetherspoons pub, of course!). There is the option... More

Ideally situated in the centre of Leicester Square. Love the name of this pub. Wetherspoons menu is always varied with a good sized menu. Service can be slow at busy times so make sure you allow enough time before your film starts. Prices are average for central London.

I've been here a few times and they've all been average. This particular time I went on a Wednesday evening and it was fairly busy for around 6pm. I have to say that the service was not very friendly but the overall reason for my review is due to the smell of the venue. There was a wreak of sick... More

Went here for lunch on Saturday and must have timed it right again as we got the last table available as it is so popular. Our food was lovely and very very hot which is most important. I suppose you could get better food in London if you wanted to but we always eat here as the food is always... More

Been in here for drinks several times over the last couple of years and found it a great place to relax. Nice atmosphere, always had good service from the bar staff, and will always frequent the place in future. However we had a meal last Sunday and were quite disappointed with it. We both had the mixed grill but found... More

The service is so slow and not many staff at all, 3 people serving on a busy night! I had the chicken breast burger and that was nice but too ages to come out and wanted a dark fruit strongbow but they didn't have any of that in! I won't be coming back here 😡

Thank you for your review. We aim to provide the best and quickest service possible. We apologise if this was not the case this time. Unfortunately being the type of business it is, we cannot always predict ahead, and that might have been the case. Hope to see you again so you can see it on your own eyes that... More

Attended on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Good food and drink. Excellent staff, especially Bogusha, the very friendly and competent Polish lady.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
