This store, built in 1924 designed by Edwin T. Hall is what his concept of a Tidor building should look like. I think that he did a very good job. Whether you are into shopping or not, it is really worththe time to step inside and see what can be done with a little wood (okay a lot of wood).

I just love this place. It's well worth a visit for the decor alone. The staff are always helpful and make the customer experience so perfect.

We always make a point to visit this venerable store when visiting London. A bit stodgy and ever so British Empire in the past but now a mecca for international and cool English brands. Really a unique shopping experience. Still a department store layout without the now ubiquitous dept. store boutiques. Has it's original faux Tudor exterior and interior which... More

This beautiful store, filled with equally beautiful (and expensive) is a must see. There's a reason it's been around so long. Take a bit to soak in the beauty & surprises.

Liberty do everything absolutely correctly. They sell fantastic goods in a wonderful building. If you've not been then you must go. If you've been before then you'll want to go back.

Liberty is worth a visit not just for tourists, but for locals as well! The building ranks itself among the beauty and extravagance of both Harrod's and Fortnum & Mason, so if you're in the Oxford St. area be sure to pop in to see the amazing goods for sale. The store truly represents London at its finest. There's a... More

An absolutely must-see if you are familiar with the famous Liberty fabric. It was wonderful to see the beautiful displays of this gorgeous fabric - like a candy store for sewists! The atmospheric building is just stunning. We loved browsing through the rest of the shop too (slightly scary experience with two boys, however), particularly the beautiful Christmas section with... This review is specifically for my hairdresser. Fanny, your magic hands turned my straw-like hair into my dream hair! I love the length, volume and look. Ladies, if you're due for haircut while you're in London, meet my girl! The salon itself is beautifully decorated with windows facing a busy street. It will make you feel glad that you are... More

We visited here while in London for the weekend and was very impressed with all the lovely wooden beams and carvings. The shop has very quirky items for sale which is lovely to just wander and explore. High recommend a visit if nearby.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
