We had chosen the eve of Halloween for a Jack the Ripper tour...
Our guide Greta showed up in a very scary outfit.
She was amazing with all the facts and info about Jack the Ripper.
We strongly recommend this event.
Maria was informative, engaging and very knowledgable. We had a fantastic time, learned a lot and felt this could have happily been charged 2x, 3x more than the £10 pp paid!
We are from London so just fancied something a bit different to do and...More
I have been fascinated by true crime since I was a child but could never get into the history of Jack, so decided to immerse myself in the story in the hope that things would change. Angie was very passionate & informative about her subject...More
We took part in this tour with John. He is very knowledgeable about the Ripper murders and Whitechapel. The tour was full, about 22 people, but he managed to keep track of us all. Fish and chips were yummy too.
The tour was interesting but definitely could have been made better. It started at 7PM October 10 from Tower Hill Station (trader’s gift store). I overheard the tour guide (as informative as he was) before the tour complaining about how sick he was and how...More
We went on the Jack the Ripper tour on a very cold Saturday night and we loved it! Angie knew everything and her passion and interest was really clear. She took us back to the 1800s and managed to distract us from the cold! Thank...More
Our tour guide Angie was fascinating. She really went into detail and set the tone for each of the areas we walked to. It was a Friday night so lots of people out roaming around but she managed to keep our attention and speak loudly...More
Having done about 15 of these tours over the years I can say I have never had a bad guide. The first one I took was amazing because parts of the tour reflected what London looked like during the murders. However this last time almost...More
My Wife and I enjoyed this Tour very much, a big thanks to our tour guide John. He was rich with information about the time period and Jack the Ripper, he gives you a whole different mind set about what happened and gets you thinking...More
Russells tour was exceptionally breath taking from start to finish. Full of information. Russell has researched all the information he gives you. He looks after you on his tours making sure we all walk at one pace. Its not rushed. This tour is a must....More
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a
cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

not scary or jumpy at all. it's very interesting historically, and it gives a great illustration of how the time and events were back then. they do talk about the murders somewhat graphically but not in a gory fashion. we crossed the wall that separated the west end of london from the east end, which is not really advertised anywhere and you can see the original pub of that era. the guides are professional and first rate. it's a serious and somber presentation, not comical or Hollywood-ish.
