We visit here every time we go to London with our children, they love it! You need to remember that the people demonstrating the toys etc. have been paid to practice for hours and your small child is unlikely to operate in the same way. Some things appear magical and easy to use but are useless at home. We allocate... More

The children really enjoyed visiting Hamleys. The toys are spread over seven floors with a great selection. There are plenty of very helpful staff to answer queries and give demonstrations. Well worth a visit.

Hamleys is awesome. It has a massive range (50,000 toys they say) and a great staff who are just as excited about toys as a child after Santa has just been. Each of the 7 floors is dedicated to a theme of toys or an age group. Our favourite was the basement, which is full of almost every Star Wars... More

This store has a special fantastic staff ethos that I happen to know of and appreciate. I like that you can find what ever you wish to find. I don't like the price of own branded teddy products. Very high. Staff are fun and entertain children well but some are a little too pushy to point the kids into a... More

Fun for all ages! I couldn't believe how big it was, there must've been around 6 floors and full of every type of toy you can imagine! Some toys were a bit pricey but you have to visit this place for the experience! The staff were friendly and playful, showing the kids how all of toys work and dancing and... More

Promised the kids a trips to Hamleys. 7 floors of toys, books, games, dolls etc. Thought we would start on the top floor and work down. Top floor has a coffee shop, huge amounts of sweets and a milkshake/juice bar. Pretty tiny considering the footfall in the shop and only 3 tables in total! Shocking! Think we got down to... More

After attempting to visit the Lego store and being told the queue was 2 hours. My self and wife didn't fancy being stood out in the wet, snowy weather. So we headed off to hamleys. Not to be disappointed with the Lego department situated on the top floor of the store. You can even have your pictures taken with the... More

Haven't experienced such a shopping joy; it should be renamed as the Adults toy store. One can notice everyone is enjoying his / her time while going through the several floors and sections of the grand toy store. The staff makes the shopping experience hassle free as they are all so helpful and have full understanding about whatever is available.... More

Got to be the best toy store you can ever visit. Spread over 5 floors plus a basement specialising in Starwars gifts. From the moment you walk in the staff welcome you & add so much to the fun displaying & playing with so many of the different toys on offer. So much to see & do this shop could... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
