Oh dear. Having admired Terence Conran for over 30 years my wife and I went back to the Oyster Bar at The Conran Shop in the wonderful Michelin building on Father's Day for old times' sake, for the first time in about three years.
Sometimes, its not the products on sale that impress but the staff. I went in to the shop and I found the most helpful staff you could ever wish to meet. Thank you everyone for making my visit to the Conran Shop really very special.

This temple to superb, modern design is situated in one of the capital's most iconic buildings.
There is an enormous range of beautifully designed and constructed furniture and household accessories.
Not at all cheap, however.
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal
a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
