Neighbourhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Great performance by Natalie Williams and Barbara Alves (server)
Ronnies always great with performers of the highest quality , who seem to be enjoying the evening with very close proximity Barbara Alves was our server and she was extremely attentive without being intrusive. Servers are generally good but she was really exceptional. Always filling water glasses and taking orders as necessary

Great customer service and all round wonderful night at Ronnie Scotts
We had a wonderful night at Ronnie Scott's. It's not inexpensive so our expectations were high but it surpassed even those. The atmosphere was fantastic, the cocktails hit the spot and the jazz was sublime. Top that off with the empathy and helpfulness of staff who, when we missed our timeslot due to events out of our control not only allowed us to relax upstairs but squeezed us into the next showing. They checked in throughout to make sure we were ok and let us know they were still sorting a space for us. We ended up with the best views in the house too! Would thoroughly recommend for a tick it off your bucket list experience

    Iconic Venue!
My partner and I visited Ronnie Scott's for the first time ever to see Herb Alpert - my birthday present. We were seated at a table, attended to throughout the gig, and honestly it was the best experience. This is truly one of London's most iconic venues and it did not disappoint. From the smart and lushly decadent decor to the fabulous selection of food and drinks to the unmatched performance of Mr Alpert it was the best birthday ever. This was our first visit but it absolutely won't be the last! Ten out of ten!

    Amazing with a Capital A
The best night out you will ever have. It's expensive but its worth EVERY penny. We have been twice and it has been memory making experiences both times. Ludicrous food and booze prices but just tolerate that and enjoy the gorgeousness of the building, the staff, the acts and the experience. There is nowhere that I've ever been that can touch it for class. If my lottery numbers come up I'll be here every week. It is my idea of Heaven.

    Best jazz club in London
Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club is by far the best jazz club in London and one of the best in Europe. Great jazz personalities are playing here. The venue has two ares, Upstairs and the main stage. The main stage is usually full and the only downsize is that the tables are very close one to another. The Upstairs, while much smaller, is really beautiful with the musicians playing just in front of the bar.

    Beautiful food and ambience
What exquisite food. I don’t think I’ve ever used the word exquisite before. The drinks were wonderful. And to see my favourite person’s face light up at the jazz we came to see… well that was priceless. Thank you for a fabulous evening. I can see why RS is so coveted.

Fabulous evening, fabulous food and iconic entertainment by Herb Alpert & Lani Hall
This was our first visit to Ronnie Scott's after years of meaning to go. We should have gone earlier as we had the most perfect evening. I managed to get two premium tickets for Herb Alpert & Lani Hall just days before the show. Having not been before we didn't know how it all worked but duly show up about 5.30pm to join the queue for the 6.30pm show. There were two lines - one for members and one for non-members which seemed like a good and fair system. We got in just before 6pm and felt like we'd got the best seats in the house. The place is small with a low ceiling and an electric atmosphere. Our table was on the raised section around the sunken central area and was right next to the drummer just feet from Herb Alpert & Lani Hall. Herb and Lani did the most amazing show - I could have watched it dozens of times. I'm just sad it was my first chance and probably my last to see them. The sound was perfect and not too loud as I'd feared (especially being seated next to the drummer!). On top of first class entertainment we had a fantastic meal. This was served just as the show started. Between us we had the cod and pork belly. Both were delicious and very well cooked. We hope to make more trips to Ronnie Scott's having left it far too long for our first.

    A great evening of music!
A fantastic evening of great music from Blues Explosion. Watching and listening to talented musicians who created such an evening of music was a joy. We joined a short queue, we were shown to our seats by James who looked after us for the evening. Great service and good food. Highly recommend!

    Hmmmm
A visit to this venue was on my bucket list and we finally made it to see Jon Cleary who as usual was excellent. At first glance the inside was everything I wanted it to be. The intimate setting, low lights and a great view of the artists stage. Now tickets aren’t cheap but that’s ok, you know this when you book. You also know that venues like this make a good margin on drinks. That’s how they make money. However, there’s a difference between hospitality markup and robbing you blind cos your a captive audience. A bottle of £11.99 wine with a 300% markup is not cool. The toilets could do with a refurb and deep clean, and the system of queuing and doors opening far too close to showtime is ridiculous. I’m glad I’ve ticked this off but I think it’s now a tourist trap rather than the legendary venue it once was.

    Superb
From start to finish this was a superb afternoon spent listening to frank sinatra songs played and sung by excellent musicians! The food served was delicious and the staff very friendly , particularly our waiter Netto - he couldn’t have been more helpful . Would certainly return

Really looked forward to attending the Jazz Jam. The musicians were as incredible as you would expect but didn't expect everyone to be crushed into the venue. Managed to get in early(ish) & got seats but when everyone else piled in was unable to see any of the band at all. Took the edge off it tbh.

We've been to Ronnie's Jazz Club on many occasions and always had a great experience.
So, we thought we would give 'Upstairs' a go on Friday night for Viva Cuba.
We prebooked under the impression we had reserved seats, like downstairs so turned up @ 20:30.
We were sadly mistaken, it was a free for all and only just
managed to secure a couple of seats in one of the many booths with another 2 couples.
It was rammed with mostly young ladies leaving us feeling like we were on a hen night.
The majority of booths don't have a clear view of the stage and band which was another disappointment. Drinks overpriced too. We stayed for one drink and left before seeing any live music.
We're not fuddy duddies, we go to lots of gigs and events but this left us vowing to never return Upstairs, what a shame 😢

Courtney Pine at Ronnie Scott’s. Was expecting a giant of jazz to express his art form but turns out to be a place to supplement his pension. Is this turning out to be a place for artists to cash in on their reputations? Other musicians in his band were on form but is over reliance on them should make him feel uncomfortable. If he was not up to the job of confirming his reputation, then he should have spent his birthday at home with a bottle of rum and his friends. The calypso feel to the event made it seem like we were on a cruise around the Caribbean rather than the home of British jazz. Don’t undermine your reputation and expect others to carry you when you should be carrying them.

Fabulous music, great (and reasonably priced) food...however they were not very well organised. We were seated with our menus, and then were ignored for the next half an hour despite asking waiters if we could order. When they finally took our order, no drinks came... in the end our food came first which was difficult with no drink at all. When it came it was all really nice, but it was a long time sat without even a drink.

This is the premier jazz club in London so expect something organisationally well oiled. You queue to get in and are rapidly shown to your seats. We went in for the 9.15pm performance and were seated at the back on a long bench seat which was comfortable enough. You are still very close to the performers and have a good view and experience. We did not have any food but ate beforehand for around the same price. It is not cheap but by not eating there you can concentrate on the music. The seats were £40 each. Staff are friendly and move around fairly invisibly during the performance which lasted around 1 hour and 15 minutes. A great night out although perhaps shorter than you may have expected.
