My partner and I both went to see the Comedy about a Bank Robbery at the Criterion Theatre on a nice Saturday afternoon in February. We both enjoyed their previous plays 'Play that Goes Wrong' and Peter Pan enormously. Even thou this play is such good fun and funny in a lot places it was nowhere as good as the... More

Was a little worried as the only seats available were reduced price limited view seats. Not a problem though as the limitation itself is limited and didin't affect the injyment of the performance. Quite a compact, very old theatre.

My wife and I enjoyed the play that goes wrong and Peter Pan goes wrong, so we were looking forward to the robbery that goes wrong. We were disappointed. Yes it has it comic moments but they were few and far between. When they came along they were worked to death as if the writer knew how scarce they were... More

With some doubt I went to see this show last night and was not expecting much. The show may not have famous names like other and may not be full of sing a long songs but wow this is funny!! The actors work like Trojans to the enjoyment of the whole audience. This show is funny, intelligent and worth every... More

Enjoyed their previous 'Play that Goes Wrong' enormously. This play is good fun and funny in a lot places but not in my opinion worth the cost of high end theatre tickets. I'd recommend their previous play but not this one.

This is an intimate little theatre with the most beautiful ceilings in the main lobby area and a funky bar on the upper level. Staff were very friendly and seat prices not crazy; we were in the Upper Circle and had a great view of the stage without paying top dollar. One word of warning, however: the legroom between seats... Was very apprehensive as other members of the group not that keen, but it was amazing, laughed till it hurt and the family loved it! Don't be put off by sitting in the front row as restricted view only if your a child or an ompa lumpa! Loved every second of it, don't hesitate go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat in the stalls of this fairly intimate theatre, good view of the stage, which was just as well as the action fills it (and the the procenium arch). Very corny in places, but non-stop fun; a worthy stablemate to the groups other plays

We come once a year to London to enjoy theatre land and to take in some amazing shows and plays; Much to our chagrin, the comedy about a bank robbery, played in this beautiful theatre, was of such a low level of humor that we had to leave at the interval. The stage is very well organised and the actors... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
