Excellent performance by Tennant

Booked this play because I love David Tennant. He didn't disappoint us. His performance was excellent. A very sexually explicit play, very witty, fast conversation. Thoroughly... read more

The theatre just seemed a little bit small for the number of people - the downstairs bar was very crowded, and the loos had only something like four cubicles (that we found) and then another one off from the stalls. We left and went round the corner to a pub instead of drinking in the bar downstairs beforehand. Seats had... More

You expect a good performance by David Tennant, but his role as Don Juan simply exceeded anything I have seen him in before. His portrayal was simply superb, and he was so well supported by his cast, especially Adrian Scarborough who 'stood by' him to the end ! If you can afford it, this is a show that you really... More

Oh this was good, a very funny, very crude play with the star attraction David Tennant of course, but his sidekick Adrian Scarborough was just as good if not better. Real comic timing by the both of them and a top supporting cast made this a joy to watch. Theres a lot of swearing and adult sex based jokes, most... More

We returned here after nearly a three year gap, this time for Don Juan starring David Tennant and Adrian Scarborough, both of whom were excellent (especially the latter) although the same cannot unfortunately be said for all of the rest of the cast. Regardless of the show, the theatre is still a delight, despite the lack of space and rather... More

Of course a theatre is all about what production you see. But this theatre is beautiful too, gorgeous old details. Cloakroom held a rucksack so we could sit comfortably. Need to sort out toilets though- two ladies' for the entire stalls is not clever!

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble! The building is stunning, although there isn't enough toilets but with its age what do you expect!

This is a gorgeous theatre. Refurbishment hasn't removed any of the 19th century charm which also, unfortunately, includes the loos available if you're in the stalls. Two minute cubicles for the Ladies. Such a shame the old London theatres are so inadequately kitted out on the toilet front. Otherwise, it was comfortable, with loads of leg room and a fantastic... Opened in 1899 this Victorian theatre is beautiful and well maintained without losing the character and opulence of the period. We had an amazing view of the stage from the front row of the Royal Circle and were surprised at the amount of legroom available. The show was well performed by David Tennant and Adrian Scarborough although the other roles... More

The venerable David Tennant is a talented Don in this modern production. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for what was a very vibrant performance. Great cast. Great modern take. A little raunchy at one point but I got over it. Upbeat ending. Must see. I have attached a view from stalls K 14.
