The walk down or back to Buckingham Palace is lovely with St James on the side too. Such a famous place to visit, a must in London

On tour of Westminster we took in Buckingham Palace and a walk along The Mall. Often seen on TV it does not do the grandeur justice. A striking street and part of our Royal ceremonies.

This is a great area to walk along and hang out at the adjacent park. I spent a nice weekend here and was able to stroll the entire length. Buckingham palace at one end, and Trafalgar Square at the other end make some good picture...More

Best time to visit The Mall is on a Sunday (or public holiday) as it is closed to traffic, thus allowing you to walk, cycle, skate along its length. When I went there was also a group of people on Penny Farthings. The Mall links...More

A very pleasant walk from Trafalgar Square to the Palace to watch the Changing of the Guard. There is a park on one side of the road and the Guard buildings on the other.

A must walk when in London is from Trafalgar Square through Admiralty Arch down the Mall to Buckingham Place. Time it right and you will see the Horse Guards. Great entertainment and pomp and ceremony.

We were there for the Trooping of the Colour. Although we didn't see the trooping itself, we decided to immerse ourselves in the Mall fever on the day to see what it was like. Atmosphere was absolutely buzzing, international audience turned up to be a...More

One end of The Mall is at Buckingham Palace and the other at Trafalgar Square. It is best experienced when The Mall is closed to regular traffic which happens when there is some event scheduled. Happened to be there for practices for the Queen's Birthday...More

If walking is no problem for you and you are a visitor to London, I think a stroll down The Mall is a 'must'. It is the long ceremonial route up to Buckingham Palace from Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. It is a beautiful tree-lined walk...More
