The house is beautiful. If you are interested in the Victorian era, you can't miss it. The actor giving the tour was really good. It really felt like travelling back in time. I highly recommend it.

You start by watching a short video about the history of the house. Then you knock on the front door and it is answered by the housemaid or in our case the lady of the house. She was dressed very authentically and showed us around...More

It's sort of off the beaten path, but it's a fascinating house with a really interesting history. It's so interesting to see all the William Morris wallpaper and amazing Victoriana – china from China, Japanese prints, tons of photographs and drawings. Learning about Sambourne, the...More

We joined the Saturday morning tour with the housekeeper as our guide. We started with a short film explaining how the house became a visitor attraction introduced by Lord Snowdon. Our housekeeper guide was excellent. She knew so much about the house and interacted with...More

A house close to Kensington High Street that has its Victorian interior preserved. The two ladies in charge were enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made our visit a delight.

This amazingly preserved Victorian house just has to be seen! It offered so much more than I was expecting. 4 floors of preserved Victorian rooms, as the Sambourne's lived in it. The actress playing the part of Marion Sambourne was just excellent! We wandered around...More
