If ever you should need to relax a little from the hub bub which is London, I would recommend a visit to here, which is free, both to visit the beautiful house with its many paintings, and to learn it s history. Kenwood house has a lovely cafe and there are beautiful walks within the grounds and further into Hampstead Heath,... More

Located in the peaceful Hampstead Heath this elegant homestead reflects a bygone era. With an outlook across the landscaped Heath you can imagine what it was like to live the life of privilege centuries ago The building is full of fascinating and wonderfull painting reflecting that era with portraits of dukes and duchess as well as landscapes and items the... In the heart of London a gorgeous English Heritage house to explore- completely free of charge - and beautiful grounds with an excellent cafe where we had a smashing lunch of sausage and mash!! What's not to like! And the sun shone as a bonus!!

For anyone who has seen the movie "Belle" this is where it all happened in real life. Beautiful country aristocrat home without being a palace. Surprising art collection including Rembrandt "The Artist". Free entry. Grounds are sparse and open to the public loved by many locals. Perfect photograph location.

Here you will find the greatest Rembrandt self-portrait as well as wonderful works by Hals and Vermeer and English portraits. The home is an English Heritage site with large grounds. We visited on a day of special music with a fine trio playing Beethoven. Fabulous. Well-informed Volunteers man the rooms and eagerly share the back story of the house, architecture... More

I was lucky enough to walk in just at the right time when a concert was starting, a violin, viola and cielo playing Bach in the beautiful music room. A beautiful old house with friendly informative staff in the gorgeous Hampstead Heath.

Went for Sunday lunch, very disappointed cold food, bad attitude, bad service. A place like Kenwood house should pride its self on a good reputation and with food and service like this it will loose custom which is a shame as it's a nice place to go and eat and socialise. Hope things improve in the future.

My first visit to Kenwood House and grounds. Sunny autumn day and it was quiet, so grounds beautiful. The art collection in the house was breathtaking and the rooms recently restored (2013). But most important of all the volunteers were so welcoming and happy to share their knowledge. Thank you for a lovely experience.

An English Heritage Site with free entrance. Inside the house you can contemplate paintings of Vermeer , Turner and many others. The cenary was used in film making as well. If you depend on public transport to get to Kenwood Park, I'am afraid you will not find regular buses. I recommend getting a cab from Hampstead Station (Northern Line).
