Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. It is also one of London’s most iconic and visited tourist attractions.

Over the years, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances; from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele, and is home to the celebrated BBC Proms.

Whilst the venue is most famous for its shows by night, by day this treasured building is open for coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and guided tours of the building.

Tip for tour ticket holders: Enjoy a 10% discount on items in the Hall’s gift shop and Cafe Bar.

Was very excited to go see this beautiful performance space considering how my girl Adele performed and amazing set here back in 2011. Was great to learn all the history of the space. Our guide was very informative. We got to see places that are not normally open to the public. We got to see Her Majesty the Queen's private... More

An iconic building, with the most amazing acoustics and comfortable seating. Whether you are attending a favoured artist or the proms the RAH is not to be missed. As a child I used to accompany my mother to concerts where we would be in the cheapest of options - the Gods. The RAh is in my blood and as an... More

One off the bucket list - a visit to the Royal Albert Hall. went ot see the champions tennis which itself was very good but the venue was great. The word 'icon' is overused but this place is just that - iconic. The walk up to the Hall and you see a superb example of Victorian architecture. over 5000 seats... More

Was invited to the tennis by one of our clients and the night did not disapoint. The food was very good, although the portions were very small. The boxes are on the tight side but overall a very enjoyable experience and atmosphere.

We enjoyed the morning session of the final day of champions tennis. We pre-booked our seats in September. We chose to sit on the first level up in a box section. Very good plenty of room. Service very slow in the cafe bar when busy. Not much to purchase in the shop area. Disappointed they did not have tennis merchandise... More

Went over the weekend to watch the Masters Tennis and what a wonderful place to play tennis in! All the staff are very helpful. Hope to be a bit nearer the court next time!

Attended the Salvation Army Celebration of Christmas. Now, I am not a religious person but I do enjoy music and my wife loves the Salvation Army Band and I arranged to attend this performance quite hastily after 'stumbling' across information. I was able to book front row seats in a box (Loggia). Now, a word of warning, if like me... More

Always wanted to visit here and finally managed it today as we went to the Tennis Masters. Unfortunately as we were at the morning session it didn't generate a huge audience which left it lacking a little (though the tennis was great). The seats can be a little on the tight side and if the seats in front are occupied... More

Great afternoons entertainment in a magnificent setting. Bahrami as usual a delight to watch. He certainly knows how to entertain the audience as he is a master at it.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
