Right by the Abbey you can't miss it. Worth the 2 minute walk to see it in person and pay your respects to all those who gave all.

There isn't really much to do there. Take a picture if you like, and continue strolling in whitehall.

Monument to the dead of great Britain's war dead. Very emotional especially on assistance day. Watching military and others marching past creates many wet eyes.

This monument is nothing special in terms of looks; it is in the middle of the street. However, what it stands for is what's important, those that have died in the wars fighting for freedom.

London is full of memorials to different groups of people or organisations, but The Cenotaph unites the national spirits for all. It is situated in Whitehall, roughly around halfway from Parliament Square to Trafalgar Square.

This war memorial on Whitehall is a must visit to pay our respects and remembrance of the fallen heroes of the wars. Remembrance services have been held here for the past decades. A must visit.

grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
