In such a busy and crowded city that London is, it is amazing that any green belt exists at all. However, ancient laws prohibit any building on Londons inner parks and hopefully those laws will remain for ever. Whilst smaller that Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, Green Park is still a beautiful piece of greenery which is well kept in... More

Walked through green park on the way to see other sites. Upon exiting the tube station i was surprised how large it was. Lots of space, places go get a drink, joggers, excercise classes and piles of deck chairs i assume you can help yourself to.the hilight of my visit was watching a fella trying to unfold one of said... This park is bounded by Piccadilly, Buckingham Palace and St. James's Park. My husband and I enjoyed walking through the park and people watching from the benches. Folks were jogging, tourists were enjoying the space, dogs were chasing sticks thrown by their owners, and lots of folks were riding bicycles. There's a group of informative signs that provide information about... More

A very clean , large expanse of grass and mature trees. It's a great place for strolling , and an ideal escape from the traffic queues and bustle of the city. Nice view of Buckingham Palace too.

There are three parks within blocks from each other and Green Park is the smallest (1 mile around) as compared to St. James Park (1.5 miles) and Hyde Park (6.5 miles). If you are a runner visiting London, you could easily get a short or long run hitting one or all three of these parks. There are multiple trails within... More

A gorgeous park. We got some lunch and sat around people watching. Very quiet with lots of green lush grass to sit on. Perfect for a spring day.

We cut through from Picadilly to Buckingham Palace. Very nice and lush. Interesting to see the infill newer buildings which were built after WWII bombing. Was a good break from the pavement.

This is not a large park compared to some in London but it is certainly a lovely park, at one end leading to Buckingham Palace and at the other to Piccadilly and the Ritz hotel. This time of year you can see the trees coming into life, but it is a lovely park anytime of year.

Between Buckingham Palace and Picadilly, Green Park is a tranquil oasis in a bustling part of the City. It was lovely to escape the traffic and just walk through the park. We visited both during the day and in the evening. Close to Buckingham Palace and lovely to enjoy views of the palace illuminated at night. Always a lovely spot... More

Small park in easy walking distance of Buckingham palace and the Ritz. Easily accessible via the underground station. Very pretty and nice to have a break from the busy metropolis

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
