Most of this iconic building was built in the mid-19th century following a devastating fire in 1834. Westminster Hall survived the fire and dates from 1097. Visitors can book tours through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and are welcome to watch debates and committees when the Houses are sitting..

It is incredible to look at and it takes quite some time to look at it from all angles. I think everyone should have a look at it and most do, so it isn't always easy to take pictures without anyone in it.

A fascinating tour of this extraordinary building steeped in our history. We visited during the August Parliamentary recess and so our tour was effectively open all areas. The audio tour was excellent and allowed you to explore as much or as little you wanted in...More

Parliament is at Westminster. You can take the metro to reach over here. The atmosphere was very good and this place is very happening and full of fun. You always want to come over here to see the real London over here. Amazing feeling.

Irrespective of whether you are red, yellow, green or blue the Palace of Westminster is a testament to democracy. It’s a shame that there is a lot of scaffolding. However I am sure it will be beneficial.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
