I am guessing most people have heard of Mrs Breton and her famous book on cooking. She is one of many famous people buried in the cemetery, one of the ‘magnificent seven’ around London. Her grave is quite easy to miss, but others are quite...More

I enjoyed this walk at one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries on a beautiful sunny day. The guide was knowledgeable and lead us to many of the famous graves. It is a perfect place for photos, although some of the graves are in deplorable condition.

I went for personal reasons (my grandfather is buried here) and i was visiting from California. However, if you are in the area there are many famous people buried here and the old headstones are beautiful and full of so much history.

I visited West Norwood Cemetery during the week. Given London is going through a building/DIY boom, I could hear work going on in the distance so the cemetery was not a haven of peace on the day I visited, but for London the cemetery came...More
