A group of 8 of us booked for a private tour with Jamie. It wasn't great weather but the rain held off, thank God. We weren't quite sure where we were to meet initially, but then realised it was the main entrance of the Whitechapel Art Gallery. Jamie was all set and off we went to the first location. We... More

It was bloody outstanding (pun intended). Heard from friends that tour providers can be hit and miss, so definitely go with Killervision if you can. Jamie was the type of guide that makes you want to go back to your home city, learn all its dark secrets and start doing tours yourself. 5/5. Recommended to all and sundry. Presentation of... More

Went with tour guide Louie. He's an excellent speaker, and the tour was entertaining and educational. We got a real feel for the area and time.

Did this tour on Friday the 13th and was really good fun. Had my 15yr old niece with me and she loved it. Our tour guide was Mick Priestley and he kept us all entertained throughout. We loved the photo projection as well. Would definitely recommend

Outstanding tour with a very knowledgeable guide. The Rippervision really enhances the experience as it shows how little some things have changed - and how greatly other spots have been overhauled by modernity. The balance of excitement and sobering crime details was just right - did not feel exploitative, and the guide managed to very well convey how tough life... More

Incredibly interesting (and gruesome) tour. Our guide, Mick, was enthusiastic and told the story with vivid details. If you're interested in the Whitechapel murders, this is absolutely a must.

Went on the jack the ripper tour last night on our first night in London and Johnny our tour guide was amazing. He met us at aldgate station exit 3 and was dressed up which added to the experience. Whilst going around the tour he spoke about the victims which jack the ripper mutated. We went to brick Lane, Mitre... More

Our guide (Sinead?) was extremely knowledgeable and suitably theatric. She was wonderful! However, be aware that the "Ripper Vision" is essentially a small handheld device that projects a *small* image on the wall. While a nice tool, it's hardly the game-changer the website makes it out to be. I would have enjoyed the tour just as much with or without... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
Spitalfields
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
