At 400 years, the oldest pub in Covent Garden has hardly changed over the years and is proud of its heritage. A truely traditional English pub.

Having done some research into old London pubs, I was happy to find I was able to make reservations at one of London's oldest pubs. Upon arrival the crowd was out the door, spilling into the "closed" street outside. Perhaps it was because it was a Friday evening, but the place was packed, with a fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant is... More

Enjoyed a few local beers and ciders here at the end of a busy day of sightseeing in this old pub located between Convent Garden and Leicester Square. Staff were friendly. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Located near many theaters in London, my friend and I had lunch there prior to attending the theater. This pub has a charming exterior, just what I'd imagine if I was creating a movie set for pubs 400 years ago. Based on the outside we decided to eat at the "Lamb & Flag." On the ground floor there was a... More

In such crowded surroundings, this old pub is a genuine oasis, with delicate, old details, real Dickensian atmosphere and delicious food. Downstairs full of life and noisy happy people, upstairs full of peace and history. It seems as if you are at once centuries ago tasting the old flavours of life.

I was brought here by a friend on a Saturday night. The place was heaving but I was led through the side arch and into a door on the left (just by the ceiling writing) and up the first floor where there were plenty of empty tables. There is a good selection of beers and other alcoholic drinks - everything... More

We went here for dinner and drinks early on New Year's eve. The downstairs area was rather busy (in a good way, for a pub), but there was plenty of space upstairs to eat. We had a steak and ale pie and fish and chips, both of which were delicious. The deserts were also very good. The atmosphere and service... More

After a week of Pub lunches, we saved the best for last. Having been before and having received numerous recommendations again, this place just lives up to the billing. Steak and ale pie is the best I've ever had. Service was warm and friendly and the pints are tasty. We booked a lunch reservation in advance which may be recommended,... More

This little pub it tucked away in a corner of Covent Garden and what a lovely little surprise it is! From the slightly wonky front door, the whole building is steeped in London history and has an amazing atmosphere and environment. The staff are friendly and welcoming, with lovely food and reasonable prices for such a well positioned London venue.... More

Got lucky and was here when it was quiet. Beer yummy (it is fullers!) and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I can see where it would get absolutely packed! Nice traditional feel to it and very friendly staff.

Very popular drinking pub. Typical Olde Worlde London pub. At busy times the pub spills customers out into the street! Not a place for a quiet chat as the volume of conversation is turned to High. A place to visit for the experience.
