Last week my friends and I went to Brixton village and strolled down the market rows. I truly was amazed with all the different kinds of foods from around the world. We sat down at Franco Manca’s pizza place and had the most delicious pizza, the best one in my opinion. Afterwards we couldn’t resist buying a cronut at DumDum’s,... More

Brixton is a bustling district for youngsters. In the past Brixton was a quartet for Caribbean community in London. There is a well-known and trendy music and clubbing scene (The Fridge, Brixton Academy, Gremio de Brixton - former Mass church). If you fond of clubbing, inexpensive latin american cousine visit Brixton and you will be more than happy.

Brixton has a real buzz about it and is a very cool place to hang out. The place is buzzing with people at all times, with street sellers, art, music, shops. restaurants. There is a real mix of cultures within a small space, making it one of the most interesting places to get lost in. Brixton tube station is on... More

I liked it here and thought it was quite a cool place (although one of my friends didn't but that may have been because it was raining!) There is a good selection of high street stores plus lots of independent shops. Brixton Village and Pop Brixton are both great - kind of markets with loads of cool places to eat.

We came here to see the memorial wall of Bowie. We discovered a lively neighborhood. We walked in the streets and visited the market. This is London off the beaten path.

You just have to go here. There are so many interesting things you can see. But the place is very crowded at the weekends so make sure you have enough time.

I lived here for many years, I never had to pay the rent, and that was the only reason. Brixton is undergoing a gentrification process, is close to the center and greedy landlord need to charge more, so trying to attract business and middle classes, pushing out the old dirty dodgy shops. So bars, cafes and and pop up street... More

Brixton, London is a wonderfulmfusion of cultures with a great vibe. Jamaican music fills the air, colourful african stalls, David Bowie's memorial mural and its surrounding outpouring of love, quirky shops, amazing eateries, bustling but quaint Ritzy theatre, it has the lot and I love to visit.

I go out in Brixton all the time with friends and it is a changing [sometimes a bit too fast] area - but one that still is worth a visit - and all of the oldest best music and club pub attractions [Academy, Prince Albert, Satay Bar, Effra Pub, Dogstar, etc] are still going strong!
