Lovely square

A clean park in Bloomsbury with landscape gardens, close to the British Museum. There are benches just to sit and relax. Nowhere near as big as London's parks but still a nice spot

A park in Bloomsbury with lovely blooms and landscape gardens. Very close to the University of London and British Museum. There are benches here where you can sit and enjoy the views.

We were lucky enough to be able to stroll this park for several sunny days in April. The gardens and plantings are historical and accurate and the esplanade will be great for shade this summer. The variety of plantings is wonderful, and primrose, lilacs, heleabores, and many other plants were in full bloom for our mid April visit. It was... More

While staying in Bloomsbury, we went every morning for breakfast and coffee. Staff so friendly, they felt like family! Was sad to say good bye! Great pastries and breakfast items along with outdoor patio sitting available

The Russell Square cafe is an oasis in the heart of London. The lovely food is so reasonably priced when compared to what else is available in the vicinity. This is a venue that is well worth a visit for a snack during the day especially if you want to experience the peace and quiet of a pretty park in... More

London is blessed with so many lovely spaces and parks, and Russell Square is no different. The cafe in the centre offers a good range of food and drink and a oasis of tranqulity away from the crowds.

Russel Square is relatively small compared to Londons big parks bit there's enough space for people to sit around and enjoy the sun. Due to its location it never gets too noisy. It's clean enough to lay around and read/eat during lunchtime.

Another of West London's open spaces, immaculately kept and attractive despite the early Spring lack of colour. It'll be as magnificent as always in a few weeks' time and right through the summer and autumn. A lovely area just to walk through or linger, rest and do some serious people watching. The Café Russell is a good sized facility for... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
