Great shop

A beautiful hat shop going back for decades . All hand made . Go have a look and a warm welcome from the owners . If you ask about the price you probably can't afford it!

Every time I visit London I also visit Lock & Co Hatters. Never dissatisfied when I leave, only looking forward to my next visit. The minute you walk through the door to this charming store, it feels like you walk back in time. The staff is amazing. Super professional, kind, smiling, polite, and always helpful.

I visited Lock & co to enquire about stitching repairs to my vintage homburg. I browsed around the shop also. The homburg was accepted for repair, on the basis that they would telephone me with the price so that the bill could be settled by card, the hat would then be returned to me by dhl couriers. I can confirm... More

If you are interested in the highest quality hats, Lock & Co. should be on you "must visit" list for London. Established in 1676, the firm has provided hats for a discerning and historic clientele. Visitors will find traditional and less common hats, to include tweed hats and caps, deerstalkers, polo caps, Panama hats, fedoras, homburgs, and even a fez.... More

I've been to Lock & Co many times and over many years. I have bought trilby's, panama's and many a hat from Lock's. The service used to be excellent but there has been a marked decline. Today I went in to pick up my hats which I had given for steaming and resetting the crowns. The lady was about to... More

Hi Miran_Ali, We are sorry to hear that you felt you received an unsatisfactory level of customer service when you visited our shop earlier this month. I have spoken with the Retail Manager who I believe served you on the day you visited and purchased some hats from us, and he/we is taking your comments very seriously. For over 330... More

I visited the shop as was looking for Classic panama hat. The shop assistant understood what I was looking for. He measured my head to get me my size. It fitted me perfectly. What was amazing is their customer service. The shop is the oldest and the company has maintained its years of customer hatting service experience and has in... More

My daughter is an avid hat collector. One of her dreams was to visit Lock & Co. while we visited the UK this summer. I was a bit apprehensive about this establishment and was concerned that it could be filled with stuck up salespeople, that might push my daughter aside. Nothing could be further from that idea. My daughter was... More

I've been looking to find a hat/cap for my husband for years...yes...years. He has been wearing his father's hat that while definitely sentimental, does not fit my husband's head properly. Everywhere we go I try to find him a hat/cap. So when a friend told me about Lock & Co. I was determined to get there on our trip to... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
