Take a walking tour and watch the industrial heritage of London transform itself into a 21st century mix of historic buildings and contemporary architecture. A beautiful and sympathetic blend of old and new, surrounded by squares, open spaces and a park bordering on the Regent's Canal. There are bars, cafes and restaurants to visit, not just for their excellent beverages... More

Once upon a time, this area was a village known as Battle Bridge, which was a crossing of the River Fleet. It owes its current name to the monument of King George IV which stood here in the early 19th century. The area was known as a red light district, but it is now completely different due to huge development... More

I haven't been here for many years so was very surprised at the amazing changes that have happened. So many food outlets, shops and cafes with a huge choice of almost everything thing you would need prior to or after travelling. Great signage and all very clean. Amazing outdoor seating area which today was hosting a food market, brilliant idea.... More

The design is brilliant in its simplicity, with it effectively being two great arched train sheds. The station is also associated with many famous trains such as the Flying Scotsman and the Mallard. It's also famous for platform 9 3/4 thanks to Harry Potter which a tourist attraction in it's own right.

One of the many railway stations in London. It is well packed with shops and restaurants. There has been a lot of done to make it clean and nicer.

We arrived at King’s Cross Railway Station onboard a Virgin East Coast train from Edinburgh, Scotland. At Waverley Railway Station, Edinburgh, we had been encouraged by railway staff to have our luggage placed in the luggage compartment of the train’s locomotive. We did this and received luggage tags in exchange for our suitcases. When the train arrived at King’s Cross,... More
