Nice pub and good atmosphere. But the doorman rudely came round and told us to drink up when we had only just bought our bottle of wine. Either they shouldn't serve us that late if they want to kick us out, or the doorman should...More

I'm not the pub type, I.like an odd cocktail,😉 Anchor was recommended by a brilliant tour guide on city cruises. Steeped in its shakesphere history, I just had to go. Wow, I loved everything about it, we arrived @ happy hour 😀, 4-6. The place...More

Cramped pub with a group of 40 but they were happy to sell us drinks and then have a moan that we took over the pizza section of the pub. Apart from that it wasn’t a bad pub.

Historic pub, located at the south bank of Thames, worth visiting in between museum or attraction visits, for a beer, or a small pub bite. Friendly personnel. Normal pub prices. Pretty clean rest rooms.

Horrid bar man. Ruined our visit with family from Australia. I wouldn’t go there again. Just no need to be that rude.

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some

browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
